At The Lawrence House Stitchery, every piece begins with a story.

There’s something special about the items we can’t seem to let go of. Some of life’s most meaningful moments are tucked into the things we keep — a tiny baby outfit, a worn concert tee, a high school jersey tied to special memories. These pieces may seem simple to others, but to the people who hold them close, they carry memories that are impossible to replace.

Those pieces deserve more than a place tucked away in storage. They deserve to be seen, used, and loved.

My own story with sewing started during a quiet season of motherhood. I was a stay-at-home mom with one baby in my arms and another on the way. Although I was grateful to spend those early years at home with my children, I found myself looking for something creative and meaningful to pour myself into.

I had a lot of time on my hands and decided it would be fun to learn how to make clothing for my children. I called my grandma up and asked her if she would take the time to teach me how to sew, never realizing how much that moment would shape my future.

What began around a sewing machine with my grandmother quickly became something much deeper.

I’ve always been an incredibly sentimental person. I found myself holding onto my children’s baby clothes long after they had outgrown them, and treasuring pieces from loved ones I had lost because I simply couldn’t bear to let them go. Over time, I realized those items were far too meaningful to stay packed away in boxes and closets.

That’s when I discovered I could transform those treasured pieces into something both beautiful and useful — something families could wrap around themselves, display in their homes, and continue making memories with for years to come.

I created The Lawrence House Stitchery to give those treasured items new life. Instead of sitting hidden away in closets and memory boxes, they are transformed into handcrafted keepsakes that can be displayed, wrapped around your family, and cherished for years to come.

Every item is created with intention, care, and deep respect for the memories attached to it. I know these are not just pieces of fabric. They are reminders of people, seasons of life, and moments that can never be recreated.

I understand the trust that comes with handing over irreplaceable pieces, and I treat every project as if it were my own.

In a world where so much is disposable, I believe the things that carry meaning deserve to be preserved with care.

My hope is that each piece brings comfort, nostalgia, and a tangible way to hold onto the moments that matter most.
